Marion County Warrant RecordsMarion County Warrant Records

Keep visitor information separate from court records. Marion County court files come from the court or agency that holds the case; information entered into an outside search service may be handled under that provider’s own privacy terms. The Clerk’s Office, Magistrate Court, and municipal courts maintain different records through separate processes. If a privacy question concerns a search tool, contact the service receiving that information. For a government record request, ask the responsible office about its collection and release rules.

Data You Submit

Search Tool Entries

When a search box operated by an outside provider is used, the entered terms go to that provider for processing. Its privacy notice governs the provider's collection, storage, and use. Marion County Warrant Records does not maintain an official warrant database or compile the search terms into a warrant file.

Messages Sent to the Site

If a visitor sends an email or other message, the message may be retained so it can be read and answered. It is not shared outside the site operator except where a valid legal duty requires disclosure. Do not send sensitive court papers or another person's private details unless they are needed for the request.

Information Collected Automatically

Like many websites, the host may receive technical details needed to deliver a page or review service performance. Those details can include the visitor's network address, browser and device type, pages opened, visit time, and referring page.

  • Browser and operating-system details
  • Pages viewed and approximate visit duration
  • Network information and time stamps
  • The page or site that referred the visit, when available

Cookies and Site Measurement

Cookies are small files saved by a browser. Site or analytics tools may use them to understand traffic, keep a service working, or measure page use. Browser settings can block or remove cookies, though some site functions may then work differently.

How Site Data Is Used

Information may support ordinary website operations, such as:

  • Maintaining page delivery and security
  • Sending a search entry to the provider operating that tool
  • Reviewing aggregate traffic and page performance
  • Finding technical faults and improving site operation
  • Displaying advertising where enabled

No Warrant Database Is Hosted

Marion County Warrant Records does not host, sell, or compile a database of named warrants or case files. The pages explain official routes to the South Carolina Judicial Branch, Marion County Clerk, Magistrates Office, Sheriff, and municipal courts. Site visitor data is not converted into a consumer report or a third-party warrant record.

A court's public-record practices are separate from this site's data practices. County FOIA applies to records held by public agencies, subject to exemptions, and does not govern information entered into a private search provider's tool.

Outside Search Providers

Search tools on some pages belong to third parties. Information entered into a tool is handled under that provider's privacy policy, retention practices, and service terms. Read its notice before submitting a search. The provider's result is not an official court or Sheriff record.

Links to Other Websites

Pages may link to Marion County, city, court, state, federal, or commercial services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before sharing personal details. Advertising services may also use their own systems to measure or tailor ads.

Who May Receive Information

Personal information is not sold by this reference. Depending on the service used, limited information may be handled by:

  • A search provider receiving the terms entered in its box
  • Hosting or analytics services that support page delivery and traffic measurement
  • Advertising services that display ads
  • A government body when a valid legal process requires disclosure

Keeping Information Secure

Reasonable administrative and technical practices are used to protect information handled by the site. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed free of risk. No security measure can promise that a system will never be accessed improperly.

Visitors Under 18

This resource is intended for adults. The site does not knowingly seek personal information from a child under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the site's listed contact route to request review and deletion where appropriate.

South Carolina juvenile court and law-enforcement records have separate confidentiality protections under Title 63, Chapter 19. This site does not publish a child's warrant or identifying information.

Data Requests and South Carolina Law

South Carolina's Freedom of Information Act, Title 30, Chapter 4, governs access to existing public records held by state and local agencies, subject to statutory exemptions. It is not a general law giving access to private website visitor data. Requests about information held by this site should use the site's contact route; requests for Marion County court or agency records should go to the public office that keeps them.

Public records may be withheld or redacted under privacy, juvenile, sealed-record, or law-enforcement exemptions. The Marion County FOIA instructions, Clerk records page, and Magistrates Office page give local routes. The county does not have to create a new report or answer a question through FOIA.

Read South Carolina FOIA, Title 30, Chapter 4.
